Dear Friends and Relatives,

To welcome the Year of the Sheep 2015, I have designed two versions of Chinese New Year greeting cards and wish you all a healthy and happy Year of the Sheep.

I have designed two versions of greeting cards because although both sheep and goat refer to a similar type of animal and have the same linguistic root in Chinese, they are actually two types of animals who belong to the same family. Their names in foreign languages such as French and English bear no relations at all. To save the hassle of putting in footnotes to explain the different properties and characteristics of sheep and goat, I have designed two types of greeting cards.

Attached is an electronic version of the above greeting cards with translations. Let me briefly explain here: these two versions of greetings are also divided into with translations and without translations per requests from friends from mainland China. Basically, friends and relatives in China will receive the version without translations, while most relatives and friends from Hong Kong, Macau, and other countries will receive the one with translations. I hope this arrangement would suit everyone best.

Besides, I have also printed some hard copies which come with or without translation. The one with translations is folded with four pages per design. The one without translations is a single card printed on both sides: one with a picture and the other with handwritten greetings. Relatives and friends from China who want a card with translations please let me know in advance because there is limited number of printed copies.

Best Wishes,

Yau Shun Chiu
